Meet Our Tree
This tree is Huge. It is hard to tell from the pictures.
It is 14 feet around. That is like 2 Yao Mings laying in a circle touching hands to feet.
Well there is a problem with the tree.
Actually two problems.
Here is a visual of the 1st issue.
It is 6 inches from our roof.
Thankfully there is no visual of the second.
We have been informned that it is about to kill us. If the wind blows hard it could all be over.
Sadly it has to come down.
Join us in mourning this 135+ year old tree.
Craig has asked the tree guy to leave the stump 3 feet tall. He is going to carve a stump out of it. I thought that was a great idea.
Theresa, sorry to hear you are losing an old friend, one actually a little older than me.
I am sure your tree has passed on it’s genes to seedlings that made it to some inviting woods. If you have woods nearby you will find some it your friends children there.
WOW! A beautiful tree and sad that it could totally damage your house. But what a wonderful great idea to keep the stump & carve something beautiful out of it.
…okay…LOL! I think “beautiful” is my word of the day. I even used it on my blog. Oh, I’m crazy & need to get out of the house.
