I was looking up ATTACK SCRIPTURE today….You know…
Attack Scripture is when you tear through the Bible to find that one scripture that will prove YOUR point right. “The Blessed Word of God” says…..So I must be right. See it is in writing right there….BLAH BLAH BLAH
I realized as I was doing this that I wasn’t bringing glory to God. I was puffing myself up. I was trying to show someone that I knew more scripture then they did. I stopped dead in my shuffling of the pages. Shocked, Upset, Irritated with….MYSELF! Flesh really sucks.
Anybody else catch themselves using Attack Scripture?
What’s On Your Mind ‘09? – Photo of the Month

This picture was taken as I stood in the Pearl Habor Monument.

We are suppose to do creative writing with our picture. I just have a question?
What, if anything, do these pictures make you feel?

Fearless
Imagine Your Life Without Fear
By Max Lucado
Published By Thomas Nelson
This book is about having fears and what to do about them. How to deal with your fears by changing how you think. It reminds you that our Savior Jesus is with us. That there is no fear that you and He can’t tackle and control. It also leads you to look at your former worries as learning experiences. One of my Favorite Sentences in the book is….. “When you place your faith in Christ, Christ places his Spirit before, behind, and within you.” (Page 130, Fearless by Max Lucado)
I really enjoyed this book. When I first saw the title I wasn’t really sure I wanted to read it. I don’t watch “Scary” movies. I don’t Fear the boogeyman. Uncertain as to what kind of Fear we would be learning about. I think I almost FEARED reading it. I found this book to be insightful, fresh and educational.
The way Max Lucado lays out FEARLESS is great. With Chapter Titles like “My Child Is in Danger – Fear of Not Protecting My Kids” and “There’s a Dragon in My Closet – Fear of Worst-Case Scenarios” you really get a feel of where it will lead you. The Author is wonderful about backing up his statements with Biblical truths. I also appreciated his candor and personal stories of Fear in his life.
I would recommend this book for everyone. It is a clean, easy read with a wonderful discussion guide in the back. I hope you enjoy it! I sure did.
