Today was Week One and Day One of Me, Myself and Lies.
I stated in the previous post that I joined up with the Ladies at Bible Cafe for Women for this summer study. We are also participating with Beth Moore’s LPM Summer Bible Study. Here is the Link to her video Kick-off. Every other Tuesday she will be updating where we are in the study. Over at the Bible Cafe will be working on this daily and weekly.
In Beth’s video today she wanted us to pick which dog breed we are and why. I had troubles with that because…..
-I am a cat….I just couldn’t think of a dog that I am like. Cats pick their owners, I pick God. They are independent but loving, I have no trouble relying on God and I try to always make sure that everyone else is cared for. Cats are self sufficient (you can leave them for a few days with no sitter), I can take care of myself. Cats Purr….I have been learning not to bark.
Beth also asked us to do a short prayer request (160 Characters or Less)…..
-Please pray for me, I struggle with sarcasm directed at my teenagers.
In the Workbook… That you can Order Here We walked through some verses and also answered so questions. From this we created a Thesaurus of words that described us. I was actually surprised by my thesaurus. It wasn’t as negative as I thought it would be. The Lord has really been working in me to stop tearing myself down. It is nice to see the improvement on paper. I really like the way Jennifer Rothschild has phrased this workbook. I can’t wait to see where it leads me! Any boost in self esteem or self worth is going to benefit my desire to bring people to Jesus.
Today’s pondering point is…
“Who I am and what I struggle with are not the same thing!!” -Jennifer Rothschild
What important words to remember.
It is never to late to join us!! I will keep you all posted on my progress.

This sounds like an awesome study, Theresa! I’ve seen Jennifer Rothschild on James Robison before but I haven’t read anything of hers.
I liked the quote you put: “Who I am and what I struggle with are not the same thing!!” -Jennifer Rothschild
I’ll be so interested to hear more!
As to picking out what kind of dog I could be … I’d have to meditate on that for awhile. I’m not too familiar with dog characteristics!
This was awesome.

Leave it to you to be different!
A cat sounds mighty fine to me!
I really love this! what a wonderful thing to to say I will not conform to this world but will be transformed by my Lord.
Howdy truly great web site, it has lots of excellent data. I am not certain exactly how I really discovered this particular one but am glad that I did. Will you mind if I quote some of your info? I will add a link back to your internet site in exchange
