My brain has been in a way too serious mode lately. So when Jerri tagged me, I read her list of six things, chuckled and decided to play along!

I have had to really think about what is Unimportant and Favorite. I mean aren’t our Favorite Things important to us?

So here I go….Listed randomly.
1. ICE – Yep, I am an Ice fiend. It is one of my favorite things. I even put it in my wine. Our freezer doesn’t have an Ice Maker. I dislike Ice trays so I will admit that I buy Ice. I know…Please don’t tell Dave Ramsey!

2. CANDLES – I love Candles. All shapes and sizes. They must smell good. I burn them constantly (even have the Husband trained to use them). I have a stock of them and almost feel frantic when it gets low. I think they make great gifts, which is why I have so many in my closet.

3. NOTECARDS – I Luv Luv Luv Cards. Blank Ones, Encouraging Ones, Funny Ones….It doesn’t matter, I just Luvah them. I don’t think that there is a week that goes by that I don’t send out a card to someone. I really enjoy the instantness of the Internet and E-mail but I love to go to the mailbox and find a handwritten note from a friend. I get this from my Grammy. She always wrote notes.

4. Dale Jr. – Yep I admit it. I am a fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr. I have 3 big storage tubs of memorabilia. I also have about 1,500 trading cards. I really haven’t done any collecting since he changed numbers. My collection runs from Rookie through the last year with DEI. I do have a few 88 cards but not many.

5. Ballpoint Pens – I have a jar on my bedside table that holds Ballpoint Pens. Right now the colors in the jar consist of Blue, Black, Pink, Red, Purple, Green and Teal. Hey, you can’t fault me for having pens to write in my Notecards with. Can You??

6. Journals – I have Journals, also stored on my bedside table. Right Now, I have one for my Home Church, one for LifeChurch.tv and one that I write in about anything and everything else. I have cheap spirals, bound books, recycled paper spirals, leather covered, and a bunch of standbys. Tip – If you would like a beautiful custom journal order one from Abbi at Z as in Zebra. She is soooo talented!

I know that this isn’t part of this Meme but really quick I have to list a few of the Most Important Favorite Things in my life…..
1. God, My Lord, My Saviour
2. Craig (Husband)
3. Ryan (Son)
4. Hope (Daughter)
5. All of my Bibles (I am so blessed to live someplace where I can have even one Bible without persecution)
6. All of my Friends – The ones from forever ago and the new ones, the ones I have hugged and the ones I want to.

Ok, one more thing and then I will tag six other bloggers.
Jerri, Thank you so much for making me laugh, for helping me for an hour to relax. You are a true Blessing to me. :)

1. Dani Joy at Taking the Gospel 2 Gijon
2. Vikki at Random Ramblings
3. Starr at Starr…like in the sky
4. Shane at Heart Reflections
5. Heidi at Moms, Ministry, and More
6. Lisa at It’s the Little Things and Lisa Leonard Designs (She makes the most beautiful Jewelry and takes awesome pictures)

I hope someone accepts the Meme! You are all wonderful women that I would love to find out a little more about. :)

Here are the rules. Mention the person who tagged you, list your six Unimportant Favorite things, and then tag six other bloggers.

I hope that everyone had a marvelous Mother’s Day!

I have always been a pray-er. I really do love to pray for people. I love getting prayer requests from my friends and family. Whether I know the person I am praying for or not, I really do love to pray for people.

Sometimes I worry that I may over pray. Not that there is ever enough prayer. I guess what I mean is sometimes I feel almost like I pray and pray and pray to a point where the person may regret having asked me to pray for their need at all.

I am not sure why but this has weighed heavily on me this last week. I am getting ready this week to embark on a new adventure that is all prayer related. I almost feel as if the enemy is attacking me and trying to get me confused. Imagine that. :)

So I wanted to share a couple things that happened this weekend……
1. I had been included in a list of people that had received a prayer request this last week. My friend was struggling with Darkness and also trying to get ready for a speaking engagement. I felt honored to be asked to pray for her. I sent her a couple of emails through the week trying to lift her up and keep her positive. Her response after the event was over was so sweet, I will never forget it.

2. I sent out a letter of prayer to a blog acquaintance that has been in a period of change. I sent out this letter in January. It was unsolicited but I just really had felt at the time that the Lord was speaking to me to reach out. I never heard back from this person. I assumed that I had crossed a line. Or, She has a strong friend base, my simple prayers and encouragements may not have been needed. Here we are 4 months later and I was amazed to see her name in my inbox. She sent me an email telling me that she appreciated my prayers and encouragements.

Once again the Lord amazes me by giving me what I need when I need it. I had started to question if my prayers were effective, wanted or heard.

Thank you Ladies for lifting me up.

I do have a couple questions/thoughts that came to my mind….

Do you define your Prayer Life by the response you get from the person you are praying for?

If you have asked for Prayer….Do you want the person who prayed for you to follow-up with you and see how things are? OR Is their Prayer enough?

I really can’t wait to see your comments!

Please Pray for my new adventure. Pray that the Lord with be with me as I pray for others.

During the month of May, What’s on Your Mind ‘09? is going to discuss some Myths.

Myth #1 – Christianity is All About Being a Good Person?

First of all what is a Myth?
One Definition puts it like this:
A popular belief or story that has become associated with a person, institution, or occurrence, especially one considered to illustrate a cultural ideal.

Second what is Christianity?
Christianity is defined as the Christian religion, founded on the life and teachings of Jesus.

One Encyclopedia states that Christianity is a religion founded in Palestine by the followers of Jesus. One of the world’s major religions, it predominates in Europe and the Americas, where it has been a powerful historical force and cultural influence, but it also claims adherents in virtually every country of the world.

I thought that I would do some video for you.
