Well, My prayer life consists of talking to the Lord through out the day. I love seeing the results but don´t neccessarily need to hear how one is doing that I have been praying for. I think the Lord answers in many ways. So maybe the way I am praying isn´t neccessarily how He will answer but His way is perfect.
I love it when I have a sister or brother who follows up on a prayer request. It shows they are really praying. So I try to remember to do the same. Don´t exactly expect an answer just to let them know you are still praying.
If I tell someone I will pray for them, I do so right then and there so there is no forgetting. :)
Thank you for this special post! May God truly bless your prayer life!
Thank you too for stopping by today!
Love in Christ!

I love hearing from people who have been praying for me. It's helpful to know that the requests asked are being pursued up to the throne of God. When I pray for people I like to either do it right then and there (even in an email) or after I pray for them I may send them a note to let them know I've been praying for them (again many times via cyber network). Many of us look for acknowledgement, encouragement, affirmation to know we're on the right path. I don't think that it's wrong... but it can get overrated. When that area is lacking it can be a healthy check into why we are praying to begin with, right?

How do I "define" my prayer life? Oh, good question! I think I define it on the connection I feel between my human self and our holy God. If I'm feeling close to Him then I know I've been in prayer. Is this a good/healthy definition? I don't know! But it's where I'm at today!

I'll be very interested to hear about your prayer adventure when you are ready to talk about it!

You asked:

"Do you define your Prayer Life by the response you get from the person you are praying for?"

Yes, even though I shouldn't, I'm human enough to want feedback! Just bein' real, here.

"If you have asked for Prayer….Do you want the person who prayed for you to follow-up with you and see how things are? OR Is their Prayer enough?"

Yes! Being forgetful as I am, I would love for people to follow-up because I don't want to miss a chance to testify what God has done!

Your asking that question makes me think - what about me? Do I follow up with people when I have prayed for them? No! And I should!

Thanks for making me think!
